Shrove Tuesday

13 February.

This is the last day of Shrovetide. It’s a part of the countdown to Easter, and always comes 47 days before Easter. By tradition this day is commonly referred to as Pancake Day.

Ash Wednesday

14 February.

This is the first day of Lent.

Lent Course

We are running a Lent Course of Bible studies, here in our church, on Tuesday evenings during Lent.

Each session will begin with a light supper and end with compline (the final prayer liturgy of the day).

The course begins on the first Tuesday after Ash Wednesday – 20 February.


Becoming a Dementia-Friendly Church is an introduction to how to be a church welcoming to people affected by dementia. St Saviour’s Church, Branston, Tuesday 6 February at 7.30pm. Led by Sarah Thorpe, Dementia-Friendly Church Enabler for the Diocese of Lichfield.

Historical Records

We have begun a project to make some of our records available online. These include churchyard maps and grave indexes, and church memorial inscriptions. These are very useful for historians and genealogists.
